Experience the invigorating & solemn Misogi ritual and pray at the shrine sanctum

Misogi is a Shinto purification ritual conducted in the natural and historic setting of Shirayama-Hime Shrine. Visitors are welcome to experience the misogi ceremony. Immerse yourself in the clear water flowing from sacred Mt. Hakusan and recite a prayer for spiritual and physical purification.

There are only a few shrines in Japan that have a misogi hall inside the shrine, which is unique to Shirayama-Hime-Jinjya, the head shrine of the Hakusan Shrine.
